Andrew brings his incredible energy and unending enthusiasm to the IDW team. An impressive portfolio of projects clearly demonstrates Andrew’s experience in the areas of new building development, corporate and retail fit-out.
Andrew’s passion is budgets and creative solutions, bending and twisting every last dollar to create the very best results for his clients.
After completing his architectural education at the Tasmania State Institute of Technology, Andrew spent a number of years in Queensland where he acquired valuable experience on large scale residential and tourism projects. In 1990, he returned to Tasmania where he quickly became a well respected member of the design and architectural community.
In his former roles as Design Manager for two of Hobart’s leading architectural firms, Andrew has been behind many significant projects including Kingborough Council Chambers (RAIA, Tas. Chapter, Commendation) and the Hobart offices of Legal Aid RAIA, Tas. Chapter, Interior Architecture Award Commendation 2005). The architectural rebranding of the TOTE throughout Tasmania was designed and implemented by Andrew within critical timeframes. The Departments of Economic Development; Tourism Arts and the Environment; Premier and Cabinet as well as Health and Human Services have all benefited from Andrew’s space planning, design and project management skills.In recent years his educational projects have included the competition winning design for the Friends School Farrall Centre, substantial redevelopments of Mackillop Catholic College, St Aloysious College and St Johns School Richmond and new multipurpose facility for Lauderdale primary school.
His extensive list of residential houses and alterations and additions include a unique home for a steel fabricator that received the HIA Most Innovative Use Of Steel Award in Tasmania 2002 and was a national finalist in the same category in 2003. Andrew has also worked with Housing Tasmania to design universally accessible homes.

With an eye for detail and a passion for design Dan revels in small scale and residential projects.
He has experienced success designing a 2013 HIA Award winning house and strives to ensure his projects surpass expectations.
At IDW Dan is a versatile member of the team combining his versatile design skills with years of practical building and documentation experience to ensure the ideas are articulated clearly through the construction of each project.
Dan communicates well with his clients throughout the briefing, design and construction process.
His relaxed persona belies a fierce desire to create beautiful buildings, spaces and interiors.
